splendaMost individuals who use Splenda are trying to lose weight or watch their carbohydrate intake, possibly due to diabetes or even Candida intolerance.

What people don’t know is that Splenda can actually, be very harmful. It has caused various side effects, such as dizziness, GI distress, and even fainting. It can even make certain auto-immune diseases worse, such as Lupus, scleroderma, diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, and chemical sensitivity syndrome. It can even cause an overdose when interacted with Mestinon, which is used to treat myasthenia gravis.

Now, how and why, are probably the first and second questions that come to mind. The answer is in Splenda’s main ingredient called sucralose. Sucralose is a combination of sugar and a pesticide. It was actually, accidentally, created by an Indian scientist in London, England. It was a mistake when, sugar spilled into the pesticide he was working with at the time.

What it comes down to is this unhealthy substance is what the FDA approves. Personally, if you want to lose weight, stick to a natural product like Stevia

  1. Isn’t this article incorrect? Splenda is actually a chlorinated sugar created by Tate & Lyle Ltd, a British sugar refiner who then brought it to McNeil pharmaceuticals to commercialize? Why not do some real research and show the true facts?
